Turn of Ages was founded by filmmaker and artist, Semaje Turnage, an inspirational personality who grew up in the projects. Despite his exposure to adverse and sometimes difficult situations around him, he has a different story which is filled with positive encouragement, love, and support brought by the socio-psychological influence of those around him. From high school, he went on to study film. Upon realizing how positively his creative gifts of resonating with his audience, he knew his calling was to help and heal others through the arts.
The motivational mentorship program was started in 2018 and at that time the focus was on at-risk youth males. Long before Semaje and his team saw the need to expand the program, it reached to include females, vulnerable individuals, and at-risk adults.
